Dawson High School pulled off a statement win on September 26, 2025, defeating Shadow Creek 30–27 in double overtime in one of Pearland’s most electric rivalry matchups in years.

Despite Shadow Creek’s speed and talent, the game was defined by discipline — and Dawson’s execution proved stronger. Kicker Noah Abella sealed the win with a clutch field goal following a red-zone interception.
Shadow Creek flashed brilliance, but mental errors and special teams breakdowns proved costly. The Sharks will need to reestablish fundamentals like blocking, tackling, and situational awareness to stay competitive in deeper postseason runs.
